About our great project
Have you ever wondered where you could travel simply based on your budget? We sure did, that's why we decided to create Periploos, a travel application which suggests complete and unique travel experiences based on your budget.
For the first time, the user is given the option of searching through hundreds of travel experiences where the dates and a given budget are the only criteria. In addition, Periploos users are given the opportunity to share their personal tips and experiences with other travelers to earn money!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The user types the budget he can afford in the main search bar, checks the dates during which he wants to travel and presses "Search". A new page appears containing numerous and unique travel proposals, satisfying all tastes and preferences.The user can choose any of them to see more details and eventually book the trip. If none of the proposed results is satisfactory, he can create a new travel package, completely on his own.
The unique content Periploos contains comes from experiences, tips and advice other users have added. Once a user adds a special experience to the site, it will be shown in future results, combined with transportation and accommodation proposals, thus creating a complete travel package.

What do the suggested travel experiences contain?
The travel experiences contain transportation, accommodation and a total of unique, activities other users have proposed.
What does a package price contains?
The package price contains accommodation and transportation proposals.
What info must an agent include when creating a travel package?
The agent must include a title for the package, a brief summary of the proposed travel experience, tips worth sharing, activities worth doing and some photos.
Can someone do a search based solely on a destination?
No. The search critiria, for the time being, are budget and dates. Users can filter their results to view travel choices from their preferred destinations on the second page, after they have typed in the first criteria which is their budget.
Are the accommodation and transportation proposals adjustable?
Yes they are! For example, if a user sees a travel package that contains a hotel that is not preferable, he is given the option to change it and replace it with a hotel of his choice.The same goes for transportation as well.
